FUGRO OSAE's Meridian is a custom-built survey vessel according to FUGRO OSAE's specifications. With its unique catamaran design, dynamic positioning and shallow draft, it is extremely versatile for medium scale surveys in all parts of Europe and Africa. The picture below was taken in the Fall of 2009.

The Meridian was lengthened by approximately seven metres and was re-launched from the Fr. Fassmer GmbH & Co. KG shipyard in Berne, Germany in April 2007. In addition to its increased length which is now 42.35 meters, two cabins were added and deck space now provides for two more 20 foot containers, for a total of three. Upon completion of the shipyard work, a Reson Seabat 7125 dual head, dual frequency multibeam echo sounder was installed.
