FUGRO OSAE operates a wide range of hydrographic equipment for hydrographic surveys and multibeam echo sounders are generally the technology of choice. Highly detailed images can be derived from multibeam data yielding both accurate information on water depths and clear and crisp images of the surveyed area. For Civil Hydrography, such quality - and quantity (lots of it) - is essential for Hydrographic Offices who need to create nautical navigation charts from such data. In such cases, the accuracy of data can mean the difference between life and death.
