Introduction

Offshore survey work is a risky business which requires that care and caution be practiced at all times. This is just one of the reasons that FUGRO OSAE has been proactive with quality assurance and health, safety and environmental (QA/HSE) fronts for over 10 years. In fact, we gained formal ISO 9002:1994 accreditation in 1997 which was updated to ISO 9001:2000 in 2002 and to ISO 9001:2008 in early 2009. In 2007 we successfully passed the Health and Safety audit and received OHSAS 18001:1999 certification which was later updated to 18001:2007. And in the end of 2010, FUGRO OSAE acquired the Environmental Management certification ISO 14001:2004.

We also hold the Achilles Joint Qualification System for suppliers to the Oil Industry in Norway and Denmark as well as the Sellihca Certificate for Pre-Qualification. In addition to the certificates, all offshore personnel have participated in a basic safety training course according to the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW 95) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
