Health & Safety Policy
FUGRO OSAE operates a health and safety policy that is governed primarily by the provisions of the German Berufsgenossenschaften and applicable international maritime regulations relevant to the type of operations undertaken. We are very proud of our safety record which shows very few on-the-job injuries and no losses, yet we continually strive for a zero accident rate.
All FUGRO OSAE offshore personnel are required to have Basic Safety training in accordance with the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW 95) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is renewed every four years. Most of those personnel also have First Aid training which is renewed every two years. While offshore, our personnel have regular Safety Meetings as well as Offshore Safety Drills.
The Occupational Safety and Health System, described in the OSH Manual and detailed in the OSH Procedures Manual, is now OHSAS 18001:2007 certified.

FUGRO OSAE Health and Safety Policy Statement
A key objective of FUGRO OSAE is to comply with or exceed all statutory laws and regulations concerning occupational health and safety both onshore and offshore.
The Company is dedicated to providing safe and healthy working conditions. Of primary concern is the avoidance of personal injury to our employees and to third-party workers. Our second priority is the avoidance of environmental and material damages.
The health and safety of our employees takes precedence over any other business interest. A successful safety policy represents good business practice and reduces injury, ill health, and unnecessary losses.
FUGRO OSAE aims to achieve constant improvement in the field of health and safety management. Appropriate preventive and protective measures are taken to minimise all possible risks.
The Company maintains a safety system, documented in a safety procedures manual, which is part of the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification.
FUGRO OSAE pledges to provide employees with all necessary safety information and expertise. This includes formal training and safety inductions.
FUGRO OSAE management actively consults employees in order to foster the importance of health and safety and to monitor shortcomings of the safety management system at an early stage and take corrective action. Senior managers shall lead by example
The objectives of the safety policy can only be achieved through the support and cooperation of all personnel involved. Employees are therefore encouraged to critically examine health and safety at the workplace and to make suggestions for improvement.
The Company reviews the contents of this policy and the Safety Manual on a regular basis, at least once per year, in order to reflect changes in safety requirements and in the nature of corporate activities.
FUGRO OSAE will provide the necessary human, material and financial resources to adhere to this policy.
