With four conference presentations, a display stand, and acting as host to key delegations, such as members of the General Commission of Survey, and the Military Survey Directorate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Fugro is a particularly active sponsor of Hydro 2010.
Organised by the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) the German Hydrographic Society DHyG’s 18th Hydro Conference is being held 2-5 November 2010 at the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne in Rostock-Warnemünde (Yachting and Spa Resort) on Germany’s Baltic coast.
Fifty-five conference presentations will be given in 15 sessions with four contributions from the Fugro Group: Two project-related presentations are based around the highly effective use of multibeam sonar and airborne LiDAR bathymetric surveys – entitled ‘Integrating LiDAR and MBES in a survey in the Kingdom of Arabia,’ given by Chris Spencer and Don Ventura; and ‘LiDAR bathymetric survey in Golfe du Lion, France’ by Hugh Parker.
Additionally Thomas Viergutz will give a paper on the Remotely Operated Crawler - a unique device for cable inspections; and Tor Melgard will address the ‘Real-time GSP/GLONASS Orbit/Clock decimetre level precise point positioning service – G2.’
"There will be a warm welcome on our stand for all Hydro 2010 delegates," says Bernd Jeuken, MD of Fugro OSAE GmbH. "Not only will we be featuring our unique ROC.si seabed crawler designed for cable/pipeline location and inspection, but also the on-going developments from recent commercial deployments."
